Base plate of the extruder: The base plate supports various components such as a drive unit, a gear reduction box, a barrel bracket, a barrel cooling system, and a die holder.
The barrel bracket must be designed to withstand thermal expansion due to the temperature difference between the room temperature and the operating temperature of the barrel, and is usually fixed in the direction of the die by fixing the drive to the reduction gear unit. These brackets should be kept straight horizontally and vertically. The axial thermal expansion is taken as an example of a 150 mm extruder with an L/D of 30:1, with a maximum movement of 13 mm.
Most of the slot die and the extruder barrel are perpendicular to the stroke orientation of the web. In the past, this layout was likely to have a fixed position of the compound machine and a fixed extruder. However, most of the coating machine/composite machine devices can move up and down to adjust the resin falling distance from the die to the cooling roller, move left and right to adjust the position where the resin contacts the material, and move inside and outside to discharge the die. Machine check, etc. Because it is difficult to hold the extruder and properly load and unload the die, most extruders are mounted on a base controlled by an automatic button with an upper wheel placed on a straight rail. Safety signs should be provided to provide adjustments that can contribute to the product's adhesion, oxidation, cooling rate, or other characteristics, while moving the compound roll or extruder up and down. Similarly, moving in the direction of the left and right (or upstream and downstream) webs allows the resin material to have a longer reaction time at the chill roll or at the desired point of contact, which is achieved by moving the compound roll or extruder.
Because the extruder is mobile, the auxiliary equipment (electricity, cooling water, and compressed air) must be softly connected, typically through a jacketed cable to the extruder base. In the case of coextrusion (i.e., using an additional extruder to apply a plurality of resins), the base plate must be able to accommodate an additional extruder, i.e., the extruder must also move with the main extruder. The pipes from the barrel cooling system heat exchanger, the lubrication and cooling heat exchanger, the feed cylinder jacket and the screw cooling device are connected to each other to a common inlet and outlet branch pipe so that a single pipe can pass through the pipe. Heater, thermoelectric The circuits of the even sensor, barrel cooling system and lubrication system are generally connected to the intermediate wiring in front of the cable for dry maintenance. The extruder drive is usually connected directly to the power supply through the cable because of the thick wiring.
